Daniel Jang

Daniel JangA big thanks is owed to Daniel Jang (Dan) who originally compiled the skating and puck handling pages of this tips section for the University of Otago Inline Hockey Club. Dan is a very well respected former member of the New Zealand inline hockey community and was the founder of both the Dunedin Aces Inline Hockey Club and Otago University Inline Hockey Club and spear headed the Otago University Falcon team’s attempts at the New Zealand University Games, picking up a bronze medal in 2002 and silver in 2003. Dan was awarded the University Blues Award in 2002 for reaching out to the wider community and introducing the sport of inline hockey to the NZ University Games. Dan was known for his patented ‘Jang Move’.

Dan’s original coaching page can be found on the Otago University Inline Hockey Club website and video footage of Dan doing an interview is available here. Dan also has a personal website here for anyone interested in what he’s up to these days. Modifications have been made here to make Dan’s original compilation more applicable to ice hockey.
