Dunedin Ice Hockey Association

The New Zealand Ice Fernz have won the silver medal at the IIHF World Women’s Championships Division IV tournament after thumping Turkey 16 – 0 in Romania.

Current Dunedin players Zanzee Pielak-Jones and Mallory Handcock competed along with former Dunedin players Lyndal Heineman, Megan Gilchrist, Kate Strain, Tineke Hendry, Susan Green and Angelique Mawson.

Annabelle Lewis was named the defense person of the tournament and Tara Tissink was the top goal scorer with 10 goals from five games.
