Tune in to Code this Thursday at 8:30pm on Maori TV to see our very own Ice Blacks Captain, Corey Down, live on the program. See Matua and Glenn on the ice with Blake, Richard and Jordan and watch our boys teach them a thing or two.

The show will replay at 4:00pm on Sunday afternoon.

The Ice Blacks will be playing HC Storm, a Finnish Ice Hockey team on Friday March 27th, 7pm, at the Dunedin Ice Stadium. Tickets will be $10, available at the door. The Storm are playing four games against the Ice Blacks, two in Auckland, one in Queenstown, and then the Dunedin finale.

Below is a message from the Queenstown Ice Hockey Club:

Queenstown Ice Hockey Club would like to invite Junior (approx 15 to 19 year old) Ice Hockey Players to a Coaching Clinic 11.00am Saturday 26th April at Queenstown Fun Centre. Cost $10 – $15 per player dependant on numbers.

The clinic will be facilitated by QIHC coaches and local Ice Blacks, session will include on and off ice with some game time.

The New Zealand Ice Blacks are leaving today (Tuesday 25th March) to attend a training camp in Beijing China before competing in the IIHF World Championships Division 2 Pool B in Newcastle Australia from 7 to 14 April 2008. The team will be competing at the World Championships against China, Mexico, Iceland, Spain and Australia.

Tickets are available for the 2008 IIHF World Championships Division II Group B which the New Zealand Ice Blacks are competing in. The event is taking place between April 7th and 13th 2008 in NSW Australia.

Dunedin player James van Leeuwen will be heading to Australia to play with the New Zealand Ice Blacks next month. They will be competing in the World Division II Ice Hockey Championships for the first time.
