Ice Blacks vs Turkey: Videos, photos and game report

The Turkey vs New Zealand Ice Blacks games in the IIHF World Ice Hockey Championships Division III started with a furious pace. The Ice Blacks scored within the first 11 seconds of the game. Then the Turks fought back to level the score after on 49 seconds. The pace of the Turkish players was noticeably higher than the Luxembourg team the Ice Blacks faced the night before. Although pace was higher, the initial flurry of scoring was stopped dead in it’s tracks bar a single goal to the Ice Blacks during the middle of the period.

Turkey continued their quick pace into the second period and scored two minutes in, but the Ice Blacks consistently pulled the score away to finish the period 6 – 2. There was some debate over a goal which many in the crowed believed the Ice Blacks scored, however neither the referee or goal judge called it which caused some heated looks on a few of the Ice Blacks players. The Ice Blacks scored another two goals early in the third period, but slowed the game down enough to stop anymore scoring, rounding out the game 8 – 2.
